Christmas Countdown

I am playing catch up today on my blog. We have had a couple of crazy weeks trying to get ready for Christmas and battling the stomach flu. I am so glad that is over. We were all sick and having to clean up after kids was not fun. Poor Josh has missed more school this year, than in all the years he has taught. Hopefully we have all payed our dues and will be well for a while. I wanted to post some fun family pictures of our holiday activities. We made another gingerbread house with the kids this year. It turned out way better than last year's and the girls had so much fun making it. The box gave a great tip, it said to make it easier, decorate all the pieces laying flat, and then put the house together. We tried it and it worked pretty well.

We wanted to put more frosting on the ground for snow, but ran out! Too bad!

We put down the frosting for the kids and they decorated the whole thing with candy(minus the pieces they ate!)
Here we are decorating the tree and house. The girls get so excited and I love that they bring back the magic of Christmas!
Josh helped Grant put on his first ornament. Grant has left the tree alone for the most part, but every once in a while he just can't help himself. He gets his cute little grin and runs as fast as he can to get away. Josh is hoping he will make a great little football player!
